"Prince Lestat" by Anne Rice...my review

On October 28th, Mrs. Anne Rice's much awaited addition to the Vampire Chronicles,  Prince Lestat, hit the bookstores. And it was worth the wait and then some.
The book is a none stop adventure that keeps you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end.
We find our favorite Child of the Night trying to come to terms with who he is and what can keep him going. Filled with so much turmoil and sadness which only adds to his appeal. As a strange voice is trying to change the Vampiric world for his own gain.
We are also introduced to many new characters. Some of which, were briefly mentioned in other books. Some, not even by name. But here, we get to know them and fall in love with them.
The book is filled with shocking revelations which answers some questions that have been ongoing, both, in the books and in the minds of many of her loyal readers. Plus a special surprise which had me slack-jawed with shock.
Anne Rice doesn't disappoint in the least. Not only has she brought back a beloved character but, as in all of her writing, she brings up universal issues we can all identity with: longing, love, loss and acceptance.
The emotions felt by these characters are some which most, if not all, can identify with. Which is probably why her fan base is so large and continues to grow. She tackles issues which are very real and deals with emotions which can run deep.
Prince Lestat is a work of art. And I am very glad to have it in my collection.
Once again, Mrs. Anne Rice has shown us why she is the queen of the Vampires. And why her characters are loved so much the world over.
Our Brat Prince is BACK!! And he is here to stay.
Prince Lestat is a book I highly recommend anyone to pickup and read.
Beautifully written, wonderful characters and set in some amazing locations.
So, go out and get your hands on a copy. You will not regret it, I promise.
